COMPLEMENTARY APPLIED NUTRITION

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Insurance companies do not cover Nutrition and Natural Healthcare. However, some HSA and FSA cards may cover your care.

How long will it take for me to get better?

Everyone heals at their own pace. Nutrition is not a band-aid. It gets to the root of the symptoms, which does take time. It’s not a quick fix or emergency room care. It takes a long time for a symptom to show up. It can take awhile to have lasting, sustainable healing. Most patients can expect at least an 8-month to 3-year time-frame, not seeing us every week, but maintaining their progress. The programs are done in 6-12 visit increments.

What is Nutrition Response Testing?

Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body and organ function to determine the underlying causes of ill or poor health by analyzing toxicities and deficiencies in the body. With Nutrition Response Testing, we treat the root of the issue – not just the symptoms. This technique is a form of applied kinesiology or otherwise known as “muscle-testing”.

Do you offer Telehealth visits?

We are able to help anyone from any state or country through telehealth. We can meet with you via phone call or video call.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Your first appointment is an evaluation that lasts approximately 1 hour. During this appointment we will gather some health information from you and explain to you how Nutrition Response Testing is done. You will sit down with our owner and practitioner, Dr. Michael Blackman, and discuss your health situation in depth. We then check body fat percentage and conduct a computerized Heart Rate Variability Test, which gives us insight into your body's health condition. Lastly, we perform the extensive Nutrition Response Testing evaluation to determine the root causes of your health issues and the exact changes in nutrition your body needs to heal.
